I took this portrait for my first photography class in 1990. Today, my model (a wonderful friend) had her first baby, a girl. What a day to be born.

The softness is a resuolt o scanning a slide without a transparency adapter. Normally, that produces garbage, but I like the effect here. Better than any filter.

I wanted to see what kind of resolution my digital camera had. I kind of like the gauzy effect in the picture. I have no idea why I'm so shiny though. Maybe it was really hot that day.
