The Homestretch
The marathon is sometimes just as long for the spectators, especially those of us without tickets or special
access. The picture on the left was taken just a few hundred yards in front of the finishline; The picture on
the right a few hundred after. The middle picture shows the walk around the Great Lawn we had to traverse
to get from one side to the other. The finish line is in the middle there somewhere.
I'm still not used to the digital camera. I like the spontaneity but the focus and framing leave a great deal
to be desired.
